About

I’m Farhan Terubos.

I have a full-time job, a wife on rotating shifts and two young daughters. I’m building a one-person business in the hours that are left, mostly about ninety minutes a night after the kids are asleep.

How this started

The first morning it worked.

At the end of September 2026, a notification came in on my phone. New people had subscribed to my newsletter. I didn’t know their emails.

Until then, every name on that list was me, testing, or someone close to me. I felt excited and happy, and valued in a way I still can’t put into words. I said Alhamdulillah.

The night before, I had found something wrong in my signup setup. If someone signed up again with the same email, the free guide didn’t go out a second time. That felt wrong. So I asked Claude to check it, the setting got fixed, and I tested everything until it ran smoothly. Maybe that was part of why the form worked the next day.

Back in 2017, I bought an online course on email marketing. The videos were long, and I never finished it. There was never spare time.

For years I had no sign that anything I was doing worked. That morning was the first one.

Since 2017

My business, FT IDEAS Enterprise (SSM 201703313130 / 002706763-U), has been registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) since 2017.

~90 minutes

A night, after the kids are asleep. That’s the time this business is built in.

From the middle

For most of those years it did not work. I am writing this from the middle, not from the other side.

The idea

Take The Hours Back At Home First

That is the whole idea. Most of my week belongs to other people’s calendars: the school run, the shift roster, the family WhatsApp group. I call it the borrowed week. The enemy is the arrangement, never the people in it.

So I start at home. One small change at a time, built to survive a chaotic Tuesday, not an ideal one. AI is the tool that helps me move faster, and Claude is the one I use. It is not the point.

Every Saturday

The Saturday Story

Every Saturday I send The Saturday Story: one true story from my own week, and what I learned from it. It carries a small series mark, HIS™, short for How I Series. Everything in it is something I worked out for myself first, then wrote down so someone else could repeat it. Not textbook theory, and not borrowed from anyone else’s course.

Who this is for

Working professionals in Malaysia

Malaysian professionals who already work full time, already have responsibilities at home, and still want to build something of their own, using AI to move faster, not to chase every new tool. You do not need to be technical. You do not need spare hours. You need one small change you can repeat, one that hands back hours in your own life first.
