This Cookie Policy explains how FT IDEAS ENTERPRISE uses cookies and similar technologies on https://farhanterubos.com, what those technologies do, and how you can control them.
This Policy forms part of, and should be read together with, our Privacy Policy. Terms defined in the Privacy Policy have the same meaning here.

2. What cookies and similar technologies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device when you visit it. Cookies allow the website to recognise your device on subsequent visits, remember your preferences, keep you logged in, and measure how the site is used.
We use the word “cookies” throughout this Policy as shorthand for cookies and for the following comparable technologies, all of which involve storing information on, or reading information from, your device:
- Pixels and web beacons — tiny transparent images or snippets of code embedded in a page or an email, which report back that the page was viewed or the email was opened.
- Tags and scripts — code loaded by the page which sends event data to a third party, such as an analytics or advertising provider.
- Local storage and session storage — browser storage that holds data on your device in a similar way to a cookie, but usually with a larger capacity.
- Software development kits and device identifiers — used by third-party services that our Site loads.
2.1 First-party and third-party cookies
- First-party cookies are set by farhanterubos.com itself.
- Third-party cookies are set by another organisation whose service we load into our pages, or whose link you have clicked. We do not control the contents of third-party cookies.
2.2 Session and persistent cookies
- Session cookies are deleted automatically when you close your browser.
- Persistent cookies remain on your device for a defined period, or until you delete them.
3. The categories of cookies we use
We classify every cookie into one of four categories.

4. The specific cookies we set
The table below lists the cookies and similar technologies used on the Site, grouped by category. Cookie names and durations are set by the providers concerned and may change without notice to us; we re-scan the Site periodically and update this table.

Google Analytics keeps event-level data for 2 months and user-level data for 14 months. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Google Signals is turned off. Our Analytics property is linked to our Google Ads account, with personalised advertising turned off. We allow Google to use aggregated, de-identified Analytics data for benchmarking, and to access our account for technical support.
4.3 Marketing and advertising
We do not currently use any advertising pixels or marketing cookies — not on the pages of farhanterubos.com, and not on the short links we publish.
Our short links (by.farhanterubos.com) are run by Switchy, a link-shortening service. When you click one, Switchy records the click — for example the time, the source and the type of device — so we can see which content gets clicked, and then sends you on to the destination page. We do not use Switchy to set advertising cookies or pixels.
4.4 Embedded content
Where we embed third-party content — for example a podcast player, a YouTube video, a social media post or a payment form — that third party may set its own cookies when the content loads or when you interact with it. Embedded providers that may set cookies include Google (YouTube), Meta, Spotify and our payment processors (Stripe, PayPal, Billplz and Razorpay).
Where technically possible, we load embedded content in a privacy-enhanced mode, or defer loading until you interact with it.
5. The legal basis for using cookies
5.1 Malaysia
Where a cookie or similar technology collects information that constitutes personal data, we process it under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (Act 709), as amended by the Personal Data Protection (Amendment) Act 2024. For strictly necessary cookies, we rely on the necessity of the processing for the performance of a contract or the delivery of a service you have requested under section 6(2)(b) of the PDPA. For Google Analytics, we rely on your consent under section 6(1)(a), which you give by continuing to use the Site after being told about it in this Policy, and which you can withdraw at any time as described in Section 7.
5.2 United Kingdom and European Economic Area
If you access the Site from the UK or the EEA, the data protection and privacy laws that apply where you are also give you rights over your personal data, including the rights set out in our Privacy Policy. If you do not want Google Analytics to run when you visit, use one of the opt-out methods in Section 7, or email us and we will help.
6. How we handle consent
We do not currently show a cookie banner or pop-up. Strictly necessary cookies and Google Analytics are set when you visit the Site. We do not use any advertising or marketing cookies.
Our Cookie Policy, which is linked from the footer of every page, is how we tell you about the cookies we use. If we ever add an advertising or marketing cookie, or any other non-essential technology beyond Google Analytics, we will first add a consent notice and will not set it until you agree.
7. How to opt out
You can switch off Google Analytics and other non-essential cookies for yourself at any time by any of the following means.
- Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, published by Google.
- Delete the cookies stored by the Site in your browser. They will be set again on your next visit unless you also use option 1 or 3.
- Configure your browser to block or delete cookies. Instructions are published by each browser vendor for Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Apple Safari, Brave and Opera.
- Email us at [email protected] if you have a question about cookies or want to object, and we will help you switch them off.
Opting out takes effect from the moment it is in place and does not affect the lawfulness of anything done before then.
8. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track
The Site does not currently respond automatically to Global Privacy Control (GPC) or “Do Not Track” (DNT) signals from your browser. If you want Google Analytics switched off for you, use one of the methods in Section 7.
9. What happens if you block cookies
- Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break the Site. You will not be able to log in, hold items in a cart, or complete a purchase.
- Blocking functional cookies means preferences will not be remembered between visits.
- Blocking analytics cookies means we cannot see how the Site is being used. Nothing changes for you.
10. Cookies in email
Our newsletters contain a tracking pixel and tracked links which tell us whether a message was opened and which links were clicked. We use this only to measure engagement, to improve what we send, and to identify and remove inactive subscribers, as described in our Privacy Policy.
You can prevent open tracking by configuring your email client to block remote images. You can stop all tracking by unsubscribing, using the link at the foot of every message.
11. Changes to this Cookie Policy
We re-scan the Site for cookies periodically and update this Policy when the cookies in use change, when we add or remove a service, or when the law changes.
Material changes will be reflected in an updated version number and effective date at the top of this document, and where the change introduces an advertising or marketing technology, or any other non-essential technology beyond Google Analytics, we will ask for your consent before deploying it.
